Fellowship at the Olympics: More Than Gold
Under the ‘More Than Gold’ banner, the URCGSF worked with the Scouts at Leyton United Reformed Church to provide cool drinking water on the approach to the Olympic Stadium. We were able to ‘show the flag’ for Scouting, Guiding and the Church in front of hundreds of passers-by and provided them with some much-needed refreshment.
Even our four-legged friends enjoyed some of the water the Scouts were handing out!
Olympic Rings game
The AGM of the Fellowship was held at Caterham URC at 11am on Saturday 17 March 2012.
Weekend Away for adults and families 29th April – 2nd May 2011
We booked accommodation at Frylands Wood camp site in Surrey, not far from Croydon and Caterham (M25 J6). This was a good location for us to spend some time together, develop some resources and have an enjoyable relaxing weekend. We had indoor accommodation (mostly in single/twin rooms) as well as camping. There was a wide range of activities on site including archery, assault course, climbing wall, pioneering, laser quest, rifle range and quad bikes.
